📝 Ingredients

For the Dough (Makes 2 Medium Pizzas):

2 cups (500 ml) warm watr 1 packet (7g) active dry yeat 1–2 teaspoons sugr 5½–6 cups (800–900g) all-purpose or bread flor 2–3 teaspoons sat 4 tablespoons olive ol 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optiona) citeturn0search1

For the Sauce:

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatos 2 cloves garlic, mincd 2 tablespoons olive ol 1 teaspoon dried oregao Salt and pepper to tase

Toppings (Customize as Desired):

Shredded mozzarella cheee Sliced mushroos Bell peppes Onios Olivs Pepperoni or other meas Fresh basil leavs


👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frohy.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and garlic power.

  • Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough foms.

  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elasic.

  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours or until doubled in sze.

2. Prepare the Sauce:

  • In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium hat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrnt.

  • Add crushed tomatoes and oregano. Season with salt and peper.

  • Simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionaly.

3. Assemble the Pizza:

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as wll.

  • Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired thicknss.

  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paer.

  • Spread a layer of sauce over the dough, leaving a border around the edes.

  • Add your desired toppings and finish with shredded mozzarella chese.

4. Bake:

  • If using a pizza stone, slide the pizza onto the preheated stone. Otherwise, place the baking sheet in the oen.

  • Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browed.

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicng.


🍽️ Tips

  • For a crispier crust, bake the pizza on a preheated pizza sone

  • Don't overload the pizza with toppings; this can make the crust sggy

  • Fresh basil or arugula can be added after baking for extra flvor.
