Al-Ahly vs. Sundowns CAF Champions League Semi-Finals



Al-Ahly qualified for the CAF Champions League semi-finals after defeating Al-Hilal of Sudan 2-0 in the first and second legs of the quarter-finals.


Al-Ahly will face South African club Sundowns in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League, after the South African team defeated Espérance Sportive de Tunis on aggregate.


The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set the dates for the CAF Champions League semi-finals for April 18, 19, and 20, with the return legs scheduled for April 25, 26, and 27.


Al-Ahly, led by Swiss coach Marcel Koller, fielded the following lineup:


Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shenawy.


Defenders: Rami Rabia, Achraf Dari, Mohamed Hany, and Yahya Attiyat Allah.


Midfielders: Marwan Attia, Akram Tawfik, Achraf Bencharki, and Imam Ashour.


Attack: Gradishar and Wissam Abu Ali.


Al-Hilal Sudan's lineup, led by Florent Ibenge, includes:


Goalkeeper: Fofana.


Defender: Ebouela, Mohamed Saeed Ahmed, Diouf, and Diaw.


Midfield: Kani, Salah Adel, and Omar Yaqoub.


Attack: Ahmed Mubarak, Adama Coulibaly, and Jerome Mugisha.


The first leg in Cairo last Tuesday ended with a 1-0 victory for Al-Ahly, scored by Mohamed Hani.


Al-Hilal Sudan plays its African matches in Mauritania due to the current events in Sudan. Al-Hilal also participates in the Mauritanian league.
